The University of Bradford can trace its heritage back to the founding of the Mechanics Institute in 1832. Receiving its Royal Charter in 1966, the University has a long tradition of research and innovation and has developed to cater to a diverse student body. In addition to the City campus, the University previously owned the self-contained parkland campus at Emm Lane and Heaton Mount, for many years home to the School of Management. The buildings and campus of both sites have served as a testbed for our approaches to Visualising Heritage.

The University is justifiably proud of its role in the story of the City of Bradford: https://www.bradford.ac.uk/about/heritage/
